This is the sixth EPS Conference on Gravitation organized by the Gravitational Physics Division of the European Physical Society. The scientific program runs over 2.5 days (Monday to Wednesday), with arrival on Sunday and departure on Wednesday afternoon/evening. Participants are expected to attend for the entire duration. Besides invited talks by the keynote speakers (30min +5min Q&A), there will be contributed talks (15min +5min Q&A), two sessions on Future Challenges (chaired by Gubitosi and Martín-Benito) and a poster session.
Abstracts for posters and contributed talks should be submitted during the online registration. They will be screened and selected by the organizers for suitability, and are subject to availability of time and space.
Local registration at the conference venue begins on Monday, June 1, at 8.15am, prior to the start of the program at 8.50am. Our social activities include a reception on Monday evening and a conference dinner on Tuesday.
The conference will mostly take place in Arne Rettedals Hus AR Ø-110. The mazemap app is convenient for navigating around the Ullandhaug campus.
The dinner will take place at 19:30 at the restaurant Phileas Fogg in town, address: Skagen 27, 4006 Stavanger. There are regular buses to and from town from the university. It is convenient to use the Kolumbus app.
Lunches will be self-organized. In addition to the café in Arne Rettedals Hus, there are a couple of cafeterias on campus which offer warm and cold lunches at very competitive prices. The iron age museum Jernaldergården is also close by, with a nice café.
Our host city Stavanger is a beautiful and vibrant place, with an enormous number of things to do, see and explore, so consider staying for an extra day before or after the conference! There are great places to hike, for example, Dalsnuten or the Pulpit Rock, great beaches, and several local museums.
